In addition, the wet temperature-control equipment manufacturing base of Guangzhou Dong'ao Electrical, smart power grid equipment headquarters base of Shenzhen Dongshengyuan Electric, and production expansion project of Zhuhai P&R Measurement Technology are among the six industrial projects to commence construction.
Luo Jiahao, chairman of Guangzhou Dong'ao Electrical, says he is optimistic about Doumen's development prospects. He cites the industrial park's advantageous geographical location, sound industrial atmosphere, and efficient and thoughtful services.
In related developments, the renovation of Xin'gang Avenue (Huangyang-Doumen Port avenues) and improvement of G228 National Expressway (Xinhuanzheng River-Xili Bridge) are underway and will contribute to the park's growth.
Doumen Intelligent Manufacturing Park covers 20.9 sq km (8 sq miles) in the Baijiao core area of Zhuhai National Agricultural Science & Technology Park. It is designed as a livable and work-friendly area with highly concentrated industries, all-around urban functions, and an attractive ecological environment under a public-private partnership (PPP) between the Doumen District People's Government and China Fortune Land Development.
The park has so far attracted 16 emerging manufacturing projects and is expected to bring in investment of 130 billion yuan ($18 billion) and create 150,000 jobs by 2035.
The signing was witnessed by Zhuhai Party Chief Guo Yonghang, Mayor Yao Yisheng, Zhao Jianguo, deputy Party chief, and other senior city officials.
