Renowned Zhuhai and Macao enterprises are scouting 1,000 doctoral and postdoc talents in innovation and entrepreneurship who are being recruited online from around the world.

Annual salaries of up to 1.5 million yuan ($212,400) are on offer during the 3rd Domestic & Overseas Young Doctoral-Postdoctoral Scholars Innovation & Entrepreneurship Fair that opened on June 22. Among some four dozen companies taking part are Huafa Group, Gree Electric Appliances, Zhuhai People's Hospital, and Macau University of Science & Technology.

Lao Zhiwei, director of the Zhuhai Human Resources & Social Security Bureau, courted talents for Huafa Group, Gree Electric Appliances, Bomming Vision Technology, and Fudan Innovation Institute following the opening ceremony. The livestream was viewed by 65,809 people.

Meanwhile, a 24-hour cloud platform "Boju Xiangshan" (博聚香山) came into trial operation on WeChat on June 8, allowing prospective candidates to search for job opportunities, submit resumes, present their achievements, and communicate with the recruiters. As of Monday, 298 doctoral and postdoc fellows specialize in materials, medical biology, environment protection, finance, and business administration attended the online fair via the platform. Combined, the resumes list 74 prestigious institutions including Tsinghua and Peking universities, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, University of Macau, University College London, and Seoul National University.

The livestream recruitment is being handled by the Sanjiang Human Resource Comprehensive Service Center and Zhuhai Entrepreneurship Incubation Service Promotion Council under the auspices of the Zhuhai Talent Work Leading Group Office and Zhuhai Human Resources & Social Security Bureau. Huafa Group is providing support.

An accompanying promotional conference of Zhuhai talent policies at Tik Tok was watched by more than 6,000 people who posted 20,000 comments and 180,000 clicks.

Beyond this, Zhuhai has hosted nine local sessions with Guangdong Journey of Overseas Experts, and three High-Caliber Talents Innovation & Entrepreneurship Fairs, which attracted more than 1,600 talents and 483 overseas entrepreneurship projects. Overseas-student-funded 4D Age Technology, Spacetouch Technology, and Youwe (Zhuhai) Biotechnology have already stood out as unicorn enterprises.
