CYG Intelligent Industry park chases hi-tech advances
Three years since groundbreaking, CYG Intelligent Industry Science & Technology Park officially opened at the Technological Innovation Coast of the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) on June 16.
Multiple subsidiaries of Changyuan Group (CYG) including Sunri Intelligent, OptoFidelity, D&M Intelligence, Novum Intelligent, and Innovation Research Institute are already in operation. Now the park is expected to generate an annual output value of 800 million yuan ($113 million) and tax revenue of 50 million yuan ($7 million).

The park is planned as an "intelligent sci-tech industrial center with global competitiveness." It integrates high-end R&D and manufacturing contributions to the industrial development and transformation of Zhuhai and Guangdong, according to Wu Qiquan, chairman of CYG.
The industrial park comprises an R&D building and two manufacturing buildings with total floor area of 48,500 sq m (12 acres). It covers 26,600 sq m (6.57 acres) on 8th Keji Road and cost 680 million yuan ($96 million).
Founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1986, CYG specializes in intelligence and digitization of industrial and power systems and R&D, manufacture, and services of EV-related materials. It has extended its strategic layout to "smart" manufacturing and power grids since 2019 and promotes made-in-China products in the intellectualization and digitalization of the global industrial and power systems.
In 2019, Changyuan Group companies CYG Electric, Contron, Intelligent Automation, D&M Intelligence, and OptoFidelity provided more than 2,800 job opportunities to the city while generating output value of 1.98 billion yuan ($279 million).
As a strategic investor, Zhuhai Gree Group is optimistic about CYG's long-term development. The group will elevate its high-end manufacturing boosting stable development of CYG subsidiaries and bringing high-quality CYG projects to Zhuhai.
