Public services in Zhuhai are the most satisfactory of those in 38 major domestic cities, says the Blue Book of Public Service – Evaluation of Chinese Cities' Basic Public Service Capacity (2019).

The blue book, released June 11, reports the results of general assessment and in-depth research involving 14,345 Internet + questionnaires. Zhuhai's overall public service score is 69.81 points.

Zhuhai rates first in elementary education, and culture and sport; 2rd in social security and employment, and government service; 3rd in urban environment and public housing; 4th in medical treatment and health; 7th in public information service; 9th in public security, and 10th in public transport.

Other top-ten cities in public services are Lhasa, Xining, Xiamen, Lanzhou, Ningbo, Guiyang, Shantou, Hangzhou, and Dalian.

The 2018 Blue Book of Public Service ranks Zhuhai 5th among 38 major Chinese cities in terms of delivering basic public services, with seven indexes cracking the top 10. It is published by the Academy of Marxism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Social Sciences Academic Press, and Tencent Governmental Affairs & Public Opinion Department.
