China's foremost place to buy a residence -- Xiangzhou
Xiangzhou District ranks 1st among the Top 100 Chinese Counties (county-level cities or districts) Suitable for House (residence) Purchases in 2020 by virtue of picturesque scenery, high-quality support facilities, and advantageous location.
The selection was overseen by Insight China magazine, other authorities, and professional institutions. The full list of chosen locations was published with a special report in the June 1 issue of the semi-monthly magazine.
A central urban area, Xiangzhou is the political, economic, cultural, transport, and financial center of Zhuhai. Between the sea and mountains, the original downtown is home to numerous scenic spots including the Fisher Maiden statue, Zhuhai Opera House, Lovers Avenue, New Yuanming Palace, and Meixi Royal Stone Archways.

Residents often agree that it is an ideal place to live, with shopping malls, Zhuhai Sports Center, parks, libraries, art galleries, and theaters nearby. The academic atmosphere is also strong as it houses most of Zhuhai's institutions for higher education including Sun Yat-sen, Ji'nan, and Beijing Normal universities, and Beijing Institute of Technology.
Moreover, the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and accelerated construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area also endow the district with more location advantages.
Next, the Xiangzhou government will further improve public service to enhance the daily lives of Hong Kong and Macao people working and studying in the district. Planned are enhanced sophisticated urban management and promotion of green development and lifestyles.
In the meantime, Jinwan and Doumen districts ranked 17th and 23rd on the list among a total of 2,657 county-level cities or districts assessed this year.
