Hospitals quash crowding by managing patients online
Those seeking non-emergency treatment at the seven major public hospitals of Zhuhai are made to register online to avoid usually crowded queueing at service windows and cross-over infection now that medical personnel and facilities are freed from the surge of COVID-19 patients.
Meanwhile, hospital information desks and instructions on roll-up banners and LED screens guide those over 60 and the physically challenged to nurses and volunteers at dedicated tables or windows.
The registration processes for diagnosis and treatment was implemented May 6 at: Zhuhai Renmin (People's) Hospital, 5th Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangdong TCM Hospital, Women's & Children's Hospital, Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese & Western Medicine (2nd Renmin Hospital), 5th Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University, and Zhuhai Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Renmin Hospital (Jinwan Central Hospital).
Online reservations are made using Health Zhuhai (健康珠海) app or WeChat account zhhealthzh, which also offer cost and report queries, online payment, and intelligent guidance. Appointments may also be made via a hospital website or hotline.
