Doumen enterprise donates 50,000 masks to Uruguay
The Consulate General of Uruguay in Guangzhou accepted 50,000 disposable protective masks from Zhuhai Shield Protective Equipment on April 20 to aid the South American country in its fight against COVID-19.
Consul General Martin Alvez said his home country has a large demand for anti-epidemic supplies. Many Uruguayan enterprises have consulted with him about channels of import from China, and he will recommend the newly donated high-quality Zhuhai-made masks and protective suits.

Atlantida, a coastal resort town in South Uruguay, established friendship ties with Zhuhai in June 2017. Since the Uruguay Consulate opened in Guangzhou in 2018, it has maintained close contact with Zhuhai. Expect more commerce and trade between Uruguay and Zhuhai, asserted Alvez.
In early March, Zhuhai Shield Protective Equipment opened 13 automated production lines that can produce 800,000 disposable protective and medical masks daily in Qianwu Town, Doumen District. The products not only cater to domestic demand, but have also been exported to the UK, Italy, Australia, Malaysia, and Chile. Shield will soon also start production lines for N95 masks and protective suits, according to the person in charge, Huang Wenmao.
