Interviewed foreigners, among 236 who had all been quarantined and released as of April 18, are speaking highly of considerate anti-epidemic services provided by working staff throughout their seclusion and health management experiences.

According to the Zhuhai Foreign Affairs Office, they acknowledge that isolation observation is a necessary preventive measure and were willing to support and cooperate during their own time in restriction.

Michael (surnamed not available), a South African teacher at a Zhuhai English training school, was subject to health observation at a hotel in Jinwan District on April 10 and released on April 17 after two negative nucleic acid tests. He said he supports Zhuhai's stringent measures in epidemic prevention and control and that they have proven to be efficient.

Liu Wenbin, a British Chinese high-caliber talent hired by Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, returned to Zhuhai from the UK in mid-March. He was in centralized quarantine at a hotel from March 18 until April 2, at which time he was tested negative twice.

Liu said he was impressed with the orderly anti-epidemic measures at Gongbei Checkpoint and the designated hotel, and with the friendly services of the Zhuhai Foreign Affairs Office. After he warned about the risk of cross infections when people under quarantine gather to pick up meal deliveries from the same table, the working staff quickly put a chair in front of every guestroom so that the take-out could be delivered to lone individuals.

David (surnamed not available), a British senior executive of a chemical engineering enterprise in Gaolan Port Economic Zone and long-time expat in China, returned from Australia to Jinwan via Guangzhou on March 20. During the two-week home-based isolation, a friend delivered food and provisions daily and medical staff conducted body temperature checks and nucleic acid tests on him twice a week. "All the staff and medical staff provided me with very friendly and professional help. I can move on the balcony and taste my favorite Sichuan cuisine. Overall, my experience is very good."

What concerns David most, he said, is the safety of his family in Australia. He opined that China is now the safest place in the world regarding the global pandemic situation.

Moroccan merchant Nash (surnamed not available) returned to Zhuhai from Guangzhou on Jan 23. He was required to receive health management on April 10, and it was lifted after two negative nucleic acid tests and replaced by follow-up health monitoring.

Nash has been in China for more than 10 years and settled in Zhuhai three years ago for its environment and fresh air. According to his wife, China is home to Nash, and he will report the anti-epidemic efforts of the Chinese government to all his friends.
