A chartered bullet train carrying 1,006 migrant workers from Jingzhou in Hubei Province arrived at Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity MRT Zhuhai Station on March 24.

These workers are from Jingzhou's Jingzhou and Shashi districts; Jianli, Gong'an, and Jiangling counties; and Shishou, Songzi, and Honghu county-level cities. Each of the personnel held a Hubei green health code or Guangdong blue health code and had passed a body-temperature check before boarding the train.

They will return to employment at 273 enterprises to accelerate the resumption of work now that the nationwide epidemic situation has improved. Many will go to Gree Electric Appliances in Qianshan, Flextronics Manufacturing (Zhuhai) in Doumen, TDK (Zhuhai FTZ) in Wanzai, and Sinomach (Zhuhai) Robotic Engineering Center (REC) in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan).

The terminus of the train was changed from Guangzhou South to Zhuhai with the support of the Human Resources & Social Security Department of Guangdong Province and China Railway Guangzhou Group, and transport costs were covered by the Zhuhai government.

Zhuhai Party Secretary Guo Yonghang, Mayor Yao Yisheng, Secretary-General of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee Wu Shi, and Vice Mayor Yan Wu welcomed the returnees at the railway station.

In addition to Jingzhou, the Zhuhai Human Resources & Social Security Bureau has contacted counterparts in other low-risk areas of Hubei including Suizhou, Enshi's Laifeng County, and Huangshi's Daye City to pick up migrant workers via chartered buses. The first groups of returnees departed for Zhuhai on Wednesday.

As of Monday, 3,984 enterprises above designated size had resumed operations, accounting for 91.31 percent of Zhuhai's total, among which were 1,375 industrial enterprises above designated size, meaning 99 percent of such enterprises in Zhuhai were back at work.
