City oils the wheels for Greater Bay Area construction
Regulations in Zhuhai will be amended or some even abolished to conform to growth of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Seeking "institutional innovation and cohesion of rules," the Zhuhai Justice Bureau is matching Shenzhen business environment laws and regulations. In accordance, local lawmaking related to the Greater Bay Area construction will not be bound by the quantitative limitation on government regulations and plans, and proposals examined upon submission. The changes were approved at a recent executive meeting of the municipal government.
Furthermore, the Justice Bureau will comb through government regulations affected by the adjustment of institutional reform, and construction and economic development of the Greater Bay Area for listing in the city's Legislation Plan for 2020.

Approved for amendments are Zhuhai management policies on New-Type Wall Materials and Land Reserve, Management Regulations on Premixed Concrete & Mortar, Rules on Building Energy Conservation, and Interim Rules on Standardization & Supervision of Community Share-holding Cooperative Enterprises. Cited were changes in administrative departments and responsibilities after institutional reform and release of new national or provincial regulations.
In a related matter, Management Regulations on Xiangzhou Fishing Port were repealed inasmuch as the decades-old anchorage off Central Lovers Avenue in Old Xiangzhou was closed last August.
