Spanning 39.48 km (24.5 miles), the Zhuhai Airport Urban Rail Transit is an extension of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity MRT and significant segment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macro transport network.
The 17-km (10.5-mile) first phase runs from Intercity MRT Zhuhai Station in Gongbei to Hengqin Chimelong Station in Hengqin New Area. Stops en route include Wanzai North, Wanzai, Shizimen, Financial Island, and Hengqin.
Zhuhai Station is integrated into Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity MRT Zhuhai Station via a corridor. Its platforms have reserved space for access to the New Guangdong-Macao Channel (Qingmao Checkpoint). Passengers can reach Gongbei Checkpoint via the channel after getting off the urban rail transit line.
Furthermore, a pedestrian overpass will connect Hengqin Chimelong Station to Zhuhai Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort.
