Academic exchanges, and visual, taste, and hearing experiences are ongoing during the Design Trip of 2019 Zhuhai Design Week, which was launched at Readzone Bookstore in Huafa Mall on Oct 12.

Highlighting the concept of pan-design, more than 25 institutions are witnessing a collision of design, art, photography, music, science and technology, as well as life aesthetics in exhibitions, workshops, experience, and lectures.

Activities at city creative institutions include Rossini Watch Museum and film-processing workshop tours, European clothing design painting, original furniture product drafts, floriculture design, and classic train model collection exhibitions, vinyl record sharing, African Djembe, vegetation dyeing-ebru experience, Chinese culture-themed fairs, and parent-child nature exploration.

Notably, it enhances interactions and cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Macao's Return to the Motherland.

In addition to the Design Trip, the 2019 Zhuhai Design Week also includes exhibitions, dialogues, exchanges, award ceremonies, and cooperation activities with Macao, all themed on Design and Science & Technology. Major activities will be held at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center from Dec 9 to 15.

Classic furniture, clothing and graphics design will be showcased across Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao venues, while discussions will be conducted on how design spurs scientific and technological achievement transformation and thus propels industrial upgrades.   

Zhuhai Design Week is a large-scale professional design event that covers almost every field in Zhuhai. As an international platform for exchanges, promotion, exhibitions, and education, it is said to uplift Zhuhai's design industry and global influence.
