Xiangzhou Martyrs Cemetery
The southern foot of Shishan Mt in Old Xiangzhou holds a provincial cultural relics protection site with a garden, gateway, ritual deck, stone tablet pavilion, and embossments. On the façade marble of the ritual deck is a poetic eulogy to Xiangzhou martyrs composed by Ye Jianying, late former defense minister and one of ten marshals of China.

Buried here are 27 martyrs killed in the 1925 Xiangzhou Military Coup. Their tombstones are surrounded by pine trees and flowers. Also inscribed on the stone tablet is a Memorial to the Jizhi (Lofty Aspirations Unfulfilled) Pavilion by Minister Ye. The gigantic embossment wall shows heroic figures unfolding the revolutionary battles of various time periods in Zhuhai's history.
