Hengqin Camping Town reopens with more on offer
Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town reopened on July 6 with the addition of Sumcheetah, Asia's largest no-power-type amusement facility, and 200 more camping units.
Sumcheetah, which comprises 100 imported entertainment facilities not powered by machines, is unrivaled in Asia in investment, variety of amusement devices, and ways to enjoy.
Visitors can explore Deep Ocean Maze while twisting and turning through a castle with levels named Jaws of Death Adventure, Rhombus Caves, and Wavy Bridge.
Opening ceremony
Daredevils are tempted with Crystal Tower for an intense adrenaline rush. The facility has 91 stages of difficulty such as Courage Trestle, High-Altitude Seesaw, and Speed Drop -- any one of which could challenge the nerves.
Maya Adventure, a tower with distorting mirrors, half-transparent slides, wobbly bridges, and megaphones, offers a different kind of fun, terror, and teamwork.
Furthermore, overnighters can stay in new units on the hillside, by the river, or in the field of Small Hengqin Mt. Star, Sunshine, and warbling birds await at Starry Field and Galaxy Landing, while primitive savagery beckons at Adventure Tribe and childlike dreams may be relived at Fairy City.

Camping Town on 28 hectares (69 acres) off North Huandao Road (环岛北路) is an all-age leisure and travel site with characterized accommodations, amusements, outdoor sports, outward development, and specialty delicacies.
Its products cater to Hong Kong and Macao tourists that want to come closer to nature, or participate in parent-child and outdoor sports activities, said Nga Fong (Alex) Lao, chairman of the Macau Travel Agency Association.
Family fun
Concurring, the head of the Macao Commercial Post stated that Camping Town appeals to Hong Kong and Macao families and can make up for small areas in Macao that cannot accommodate such large outdoor leisure tourism.
Camping Town is a Red Scarf Education Base designated by the Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China. More products are planned that integrate research-oriented study and experience-oriented travel, according to an executive at the operator, Da Heng Qin Pan-Tourism Development Co.
