Offering abundant water systems, lush plant life, and diverse ecological scenery, Damenkou Wetland Park in Sanzao Town of Jinwan District opened during the 2019 Chinese New Year festivities.

The park is close to the Damenkou Waterway near Binhe Road (滨河路) in Dingjiawan Industrial Area (定家湾工业区) Phase II.

It contains conservation, recreational and service areas, a mangrove forest, and fish pond. Space is set aside for educating the public on the science of freshwater wetlands.

In addition, the 42-hectare (104-acre) park features a 4.6-km (2.86-mile) footpath and 1.5-km (.9-mile) plank road with viewing points and rest facilities. There are also species of flowers such as oleanders, Cordyline fruticosa, and Phoenix sylvestris.

Construction of the second phase will extend the total park area to 95 hectares (235 acres).
