Alliance protects intellectual property in Greater Bay
A non-profit legal alliance was established in Zhuhai on Dec 4 to ensure intellectual property protection and innovation in the Greater Bay Area.
Led by the Macao Intellectual Property Research Center, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Legal Alliance was initiated by the School of Law of Macau University of Science & Technology (MUST), schools of Law and Intellectual Property of Jinan University, and School of Law of the University of Hong Kong. It is associated with 26 colleges, universities, legal service agencies, and other relevant units.
The alliance will provide legal support for the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor and will also forward Macao as a site for the scientific and industrial development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
Members of the new alliance discussed theories, practices, and innovations of intellectual property laws during a summit later that day.
