Portsmouth and Zhuhai seek gains from sisterhood
Zhuhai and British Sister City, Portsmouth, agreed to closer exchanges and joint meetings on Nov 20 to begin promoting quality enterprises, products, and services.
The program signing took place during the visit of a delegation led by Gerald Vernon-Jackson, leader of the Portsmouth City Council, which came to Zhuhai seeking practical cooperation.

The cities will establish a joint conference committee composed of Economic & Trade Investment and Humanities Cooperation working groups. Organizations and institutions involved are active in foreign exchange, business, science and technology, education, culture, and tourism.
A liaison mechanism will also be set up to exchange information every six months on competitive industries, the latest developments in various fields, and needs for exchange and cooperation.
The renowned tourism destination of Portsmouth in Southeast England is a naval base, cruise ship and ferry port, and European transportation hub.
Sister City relationship was established on March 25, 2014.
