​Urban complex to rise near Jiuzhou-Guihua crossing

Guowei Central Plaza with businesses, apartments, school, and more will be developed south of Jiuzhou Avenue and west of North Guihua Road in Gongbei, according to a notice posted on July 17 by the Zhuhai Housing & Urban-Rural Planning & Construction Bureau.  

The construction site of 75,697 sq m (18.7 acres) is to be transformed into a large urban complex with 3,543 parking spaces. The tallest building is proposed at 350 m (1,148 ft). 

Construction will be overseen by Zhuhai Weixing Industrial and conducted over four phases. The first, which covers 41,745 sq m (10.3 acres), will have floor space of 396,195 sq m (98 acres). Costing 9.3 billion yuan ($1.4 billion), it will have four office and four residential buildings.
