Zhuhai's emerging biomedical industry clusters attracted letters of intent from investors valued at more than 200 million yuan ($31 million) at CPhI China 2018, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from June 20 to 22.

Twenty-three Zhuhai pharmaceutical enterprises attended the top pharma trade show in Asia, coordinated by the Zhuhai Enterprises Association for Foreign Economic Cooperation. They drew interest from more than 4,200 buyers in a combined exhibition area of 518 sq m (620 sq yd).

Livzon Pharmaceutical Group, United Laboratories, Rundu Pharmaceutical, Guangdong VTR Bio-Tech, and Zhuhai Natural Pharmaceutical Institute, as well as other famous brands, were given a lot of show space -- about 455 sq m (544 sq yd). The delegation also devoted an area of 36 sq m (43 sq yd) to showcase foreign trade-oriented biopharmaceutical clusters, letting in small and medium-sized companies for free.

Zhuhai enterprises celebrate fruitful exhibition

Billboards were placed just outside the gate of the exhibition hall to publicize Jinwan District, which is a National Foreign Trade Transformation & Upgrading Demonstration Base.

CPhI China is a specialized exhibition and one-stop event for pharmaceutical ingredients. It was organized by Shanghai UBM Sinoexpo International Exhibition Co.

The three-day event gathered over 3,000 companies and more than 60,000 businesspeople from 120 countries and territories. It also offered insights into the latest developments of the global pharmaceutical industry.
