Chronic Disease Control center going up in Nanping
The new Zhuhai Center for Chronic Disease Control (Zhuhai Third People's Hospital) has taken a step toward reality in Nanping Town of Xiangzhou District. Construction began on June 27, completion is predicted by 2020, and it should open in 2021.
The 1-billion-yuan ($156-million) Grade-III Class-A specialized hospital will replace one that has been weakened due to decentralized services around the city. The new facility is listed as one of this year's top 10 livelihood-improvement projects. It will be dedicated to preventing, treating, and controlling occupational diseases and become the first public psychiatric hospital in Zhuhai.
Located east of Nanqin Road in Guangsheng Village, the center complex enjoys a convenient location. It will be accessible by the Guangzhou-Macao Expressway on its west and Zhuhai Avenue to the north.
