Zhuhai Agricultural Investment Holding Group will gain intellectual support from South China Agricultural University (SCAU) located in Guangzhou in establishing International (Agriculture) Sci-tech Innovation Center Co Ltd and the Greater Bay Area Life & Health Science Research Institute.

Both parties signed a strategic partnership agreement at the Zhuhai Agricultural Scientific Research Center on June 19 expressing a common vision for the development of agriculture in Zhuhai.

South China Agricultural University is a national key university with some of the world's most advanced agricultural science, botany and zoology majors. It will apply its talent advantages and high scientific research levels to aid fundamental research and practical applications by the Zhuhai State-owned giant.

Accordingly, a sci-tech agricultural innovation center will be built to develop and commercialize key and general-purpose technologies.

The enterprise-school cooperation will be extended to life sciences, biotechnology, Chinese herbal medicine processing, and functional food production with both domestic and overseas experts on specialized teams. The life and health-science research institute has targeted a leadership status within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area, according to the contract.
