Friendships blossom at end of Belt & Road adventure
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge provided a backdrop for friendly cultural exchanges between Zhuhai students and youngsters from six foreign countries along the Belt & Road route from May 22 to 24.
A get-together at Yung Wing (Rong Hong) School gave the special guests a taste of traditional Chinese culture. Tai chi (taijiquan) was performed and a song-and-dance drama enacted. In return, two Burmese students put on a folk dance depicting the Water-Sprinkling Festival while a Mongolian sang in praise of his hometown. Chinese and foreign students drew pictures on site and had a group photo taken.
Structural and human bridges
The gathering climaxed the China-exploration trip initiated by the China Charity Federation to advance friendship between young generations along the Belt & Road.
During the closing ceremony, each Chinese and foreign student was presented with an honorary "Envoy of Friendship" certificate.
