Pantum International Ltd has just launched the CP2500 Printer series product. It is the first self-developed color laser printer in China.

Pantum, an international firm that develops, manufactures, and markets laser printers and toner cartridges, was formerly Seine Image International Co Ltd. A part of the Ninestar Group of companies in Zhuhai, it built a hi-tech facility in Nanping Science & Technology Industrial Park in 2013. The company released its first self-developed laser printer in 2010, and today Pantum aims to become a first-class printer brand in the world with focus on development and manufacture to meet increasing demand.

With 800-MHz dual-core processors and 256 MB of memory, the new lineup of printers can have an extended memory of 2.3 GB at maximum. It produces faster results and saves 50 percent of sheets with automatic duplex printing. It also provides options for same-speed printing in color or black-and-white at 23 ppm and 1200 x 1200 dpi resolutions. The product features 901-sheet feeders and print yield of 40,000 pages. Its optional encryption function ensures secure printing of confidential documents with password authentication.

The CP2500 series has passed strict national authentication in terms of energy conservation, energy efficiency, and environmental qualification. It has also obtained the China Compulsory Certification (CCC), a compulsory safety standard for products circulated in the domestic market. Moreover, the mute function can create a quieter work environment and comfortable user experience.

To satisfy upgraded demands in quality, intelligence, and environmental protection, the product has several new functions such as mute print, fine-print imaging, near-field communication (NFC) connections, and split type se-drum with powder box. It becomes more reliable and energy efficient with improved quality and extended service life.

Zhuhai Seine Technology, Pantum's parent company, helped complete the acquisition of US leading printer and imaging products manufacturer Lexmax at the end of last year. The win-win cooperation is complementary in product technologies, sales, and production. This enhances Pantum's domestic and overseas market influence and core competitiveness, claimed an executive.

Besides the color printer, Pantum has also produced a series of new products with middle- to high-end intellectual technologies. Launching simultaneously alongside the CP2500 are Pantum's P4000 and P5000 Printer series, which are capable of high-speed double-sided printing.
