Russia Bar, Vampire star at circus adieu
Russia Bar from China and Vampire from Russia and Belarus have won Golden Tiger Awards as the best of 27 international top circus acts of the 3rd China International Circus Festival.

Silver Tiger Awards were presented as the circus closed on Nov 26 to the Australian Freestyle Kings, Russia’s Teslenko Veronika Strap, and the Gibadulin Jugglers.
Four shows won Bronze Tiger Awards: La troupe Cat Wall from Canada and the United States, Balancers-Champions With Perches from Russia, Horses from Russia, and One Among the Lions from Ukraine.
Vampire
In addition to trophies and certificates, the two gold award winners received $30,000 each, the three silver winners $20,000 each, and the four bronze winners $10,000 each.
The chairman of the festival’s judging panel, Bian Faji, said at the closing ceremony that the circus festival displayed the supreme achievement of today’s circus and acrobatics art around the globe, and satisfied the public’s spiritual and cultural needs.
Nine acts performed at the closing ceremony, including Horses, Picasso Jr., Vampire,and La troupe Cat Wall.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and organized by the People’s Government of Zhuhai and Chimelong Group, the biennial circus festival became an annual event this year after successful trials in 2013 and 2015. Its next appearance will be at Hengqin Chimelong from Nov 18 to 26, 2017.
