The Nov 18-26 Third China International Circus Festival to be held at Chimelong Hengqin Theater has the three hotels surrounding the venue all gussied up for the Big Top.

This year’s circus festival will set new records in terms of scale, technical difficulty, and stage presentation. The 28,000 sq m Hengqin Theater venue has nearly 5,000 seats set in a circular layout to allow a 360-degree panorama for the audience. Its arena stage has a diameter of 21 m, almost twice the 13 m traditional type. To create dazzling effects, several thousand customized crystal rhinestones decorate the area. World-class sound equipment, stage lighting, and a backstage service system have also been readied to serve the international gala. 

The theater is only a 10-minute walk from Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and is conveniently situated in the center of Chimelong’s Hengqin Bay, Penguin, and Circus hotels. 

Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel is prepared for visitors from around the world. It won the newly formed World's Leading Themed Hotel of the World Travel Awards last year. 

The 1,888 guestrooms and suites have various circus elements to create a special atmosphere. Promotional videos will be seen on all television screens and circus-themed comic books in all guestrooms will tantalize both adults and their children during their stay.

Chimelong Circus Hotel has more than 700 guestrooms, featuring such themes as acrobatics, animal taming, magic, and comics. It aims to popularize circus culture among all visitors and create unforgettable memories. 

Catering

More than 200 performers from 27 circus acrobatic teams of 21 countries such as China, Russia, Australia, Germany, the US, and Italy have arrived in Zhuhai. Chimelong Circus Hotel, the designated performers’ dining reception site, has arranged for more than 100 categories of dishes, mainly western-style foods blended with Chinese ingredients. The extra-special, locally famous Hengqin Oyster is a treat highly recommended by the head chef.

The world’s largest ocean ecological-themed overnight spot, Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel, has nine restaurants and bars offering Chinese, western, Japanese, and Asian specialties. The cafeteria has been fully stocked with more than 100 ingredients. There are even clown figures and circus dolls to be served as dessert toppings. 

Transport

Buses 14, 86, K10, and K11 go directly to the theater. Those in the West Wing can transfer to Buses 14, 86, and K11 in Nanping. Shuttle buses to Chimelong International Ocean Resort will be provided at the Intercity MRT Zhuhai Station in Gongbei, Jiuzhou Port in Jida, Zhuhai Airport in Jinwan, and Gongbei Port. 

Out-of-town visitors can disembark from the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity MRT at the Zhuhai Station in Gongbei and transfer to Hengqin’s Chimelong in a shuttle bus. Visitors can also take an Airport Express bus at Zhuhai Airport straight to Hengqin Chimelong.

Meanwhile, visitors arriving from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport can take an express bus to Zhuhai’s Xiangzhou Airport Waiting Lounge and transfer in a Chimelong shuttle bus. Furthermore, visitors from Macao Airport can take a bus to Gongbei or Hengqin Checkpoint, and transfer through a bus or taxi to the venue. They can also cross the border in Hengqin and take the Chimelong shuttle bus to Hengqin Theatre in ten-minute ride.
