Air show 11th-hour exhibits setting up
The final week has arrived for 700 domestic and overseas exhibitors, about equally matched in numbers, to set up display booths at the Zhuhai Airshow Center in Sanzao.
The 600 million yuan ($89 million) new hall for the 11th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition is the main venue. Total indoor show space is 82,000 sq m, while the outdoor display area exceeds 350,000 sq m.

Airshow sponsors and organizers including the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation (CASIC), and China Aerospace Science & Technology Corporation (CASC) have been installing their exhibitions since Sept 23. Support facilities such as the temporary tent Exhibition Hall 9, canteen, pass-process and inspection halls, and chalet areas are under construction for the Nov 1-6 international Airshow China.
The also-new 70,000 sq m dynamic demonstration area ushered in orientation drills of the ordnance industry plus equipment in mid-October. During the upcoming weeklong exhibition, two demonstrations will be held daily.
Twelve Hawk aircraft from the Red Arrows Aerobatic Team of the UK Royal Air Force have already arrived in Zhuhai. Other planes, including five Su-27s of the Russian Knights, six MiG-29 fighters from the Russian Swifts, and three Sherdils of the Pakistani Air Force are due to arrive in succession.
