Dongli Eco-Tech Development Area (DEDA) is a national economic and technological development area and a national independent innovation demonstration area. Founded in 1992 with a total planned area of 40 square kilometers.

Approved by the Tianjin municipal government, Dongli Economic Development Area was established in June 1992 as one of major facilities to open up the city's economy to the outside world. In 2014, the park was upgraded into State-level, covering an area of about 7.2 square kilometers.
Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone, located in Binhai New Area of Tianjin, is a bonded port zone with the most complete functions, the most preferential policies, and the highest openness founded in 2006 under the approval of the State Council.
China Tianjin Wuqing Development Area, built on December 28, 1991, is a national-level economic and technological development zone and a state-level hi-tech industrial park area. In 2014, it became part of the Tianjin National Innovation Demonstration Zone.
It is located in the south of downtown Tianjin, integrating with the city's functions as an administrative, financial, cultural, and exhibition exchange center.
