The "Golden Man and the Fertile Grassland: The Historical and Cultural Heritages Collected by National Museum of Kazakhstan" exhibition has opened at Tianjin Museum.

The landmark exhibit, co-hosted by the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, features 185 artifacts, including Kazakhstan's national treasure, the famed "Golden Man", many of which are on display in China for the first time.

As Central Asia's largest museum, the National Museum of Kazakhstan holds a rich collection of historical and artistic treasures. This exhibition presents a comprehensive view of Kazakhstan's ancient steppe civilization and features cultural relics from cities along the ancient Silk Road. These artifacts provide tangible evidence of the exchange, integration and cultural connection that flourished on this historic trade route.

"The Golden Man symbolizes the strength, independence and bravery of the Kazakh people," said Aibek Sydykov, acting director of Kazakhstan's National Museum.

Sydykov said he hoped the exhibition could help Chinese audiences gain a deeper understanding of Kazakhstan's rich historical heritage and foster cultural dialogue among Silk Road nations.

The public exhibition will run until February 2025.
