Tianjin companies sign MoU with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Construction

Tianjin Urban Construction Group and Tianjin Haihe Design Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services on Oct 15 in Tianjin to foster strategic cooperation in urban planning, construction technology and infrastructure development.

As a prominent State-owned enterprise in Tianjin's infrastructure sector, the Urban Construction Group has engaged with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Transport this year.

Recognizing Uzbekistan's promising construction market, the group arranged an exploratory visit for Uzbek officials to showcase its expertise in urban planning, technical standards and regulatory development, setting a solid foundation for the signing of the MoU and shared goals for future cooperation.

Zhang Yong, director of the Tianjin Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, noted that Tianjin encourages State-owned enterprises to conduct international collaborations, especially with the Belt and Road partner nations. He expressed his hope that both groups will continue to offer strong technical and personnel support for Uzbekistan's urban projects, emphasizing the importance of following rules, contractual integrity and opportunities for mutual growth.

Odilov Sherzod Kahramonovich, head of project coordination from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, expressed appreciation after visiting Tianjin. He commended China's advanced technologies and visionary urban planning, voicing strong interest in enhancing further technical exchanges and collaboration.
