On Jan 28, the launch ceremony of 2023 key projects was held in Ninghe district. Bai Fengxiang, secretary of the CPC Ninghe District Committee, Hui Bing, deputy secretary of the CPC Ninghe District Committee and head of the district, Zhang Yongqin, director of the Standing Committee of the CPC Ninghe District Committee, Qi Zhongdong, chairman of the CPPCC Ninghe District Committee, and Ma Bo, deputy secretary of the CPC Ninghe District Committee, attended the ceremony.

The 2023 key projects cover 119 projects across 10 fields, namely, revitalization, water conservancy, transportation, municipal facilities, park upgrading, ecological environmental protection, advanced manufacturing, cultural tourism, social affairs and new energy, with a total investment of 127.9 billion yuan (about $19 billion).

The demonstration project of the "two mountains" theoretical practice and innovation base in Qilihai started construction first, with a total planned area of 5.15 square kilometers and a total planned investment of about 12.2 billion yuan. Upon completion of the first phase of the project, it will improve the living and ecological environment in the rural areas of Ninghe, as the region advances rural economic development.
