Baodi district has accelerated its development while integrating into the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, taking on Beijing's non-capital functions that are not essential to its role. 

Baodi in northern Tianjin, a hub of Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan, Hebei province, plays an important role in regional coordinated development.

The Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science Park is rising rapidly, and more than 900 enterprises have settled in the area in the first phase. Its infrastructure will further be boosted by 5G, intelligent facilities and a high-speed rail station. The park will focus on new energy and new materials, new generation information technology and other industries.

With the two high-speed railways of Beijing-Binhai New Area and Beijing-Tangshang about to open, Baodi, a stop along the two railyways, will enjoy high-speed railway services.

The district has initiated cooperation with Tongzhou district of Beijing and Tangshan of Hebei province, focusing on deepening exchanges and cooperation in fields ranging from industrial development, to scientific and technological innovation, ecological protection, tourism, talent exchanges, and the business environment.

Tianjin will strive to contribute more to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region by tapping into its industrial, financial and port advantages, said the city's deputy Party chief Jin Xiangjun, on Oct 18.

In addition, the city has rolled out a series of major ecological projects, which have significantly improved local ecosystems and created new tourist attractions. Thanks to consistent efforts, the city has established a green, ecological barrier between the downtown and the coastal area of the city, added new green areas and restored its coastal wetlands.

The coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei is a major national strategy, as well as a grand move to build an economic circle around Beijing and promote regional economic development. For Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, it’s an essential move to realize complementary development and win-win results.
