Tianjin University’s Peiyang Power Team won the National First Prize in the Formula Student Combustion China, and the NIO Best Rookie Award in the Formula Student Electric China at the 13th Formula Student China (FSC) held from Sept 16 to 21 in Hefei, Anhui province.

Haoyue XIII is the 13th fuel formula car in Formula Student Combustion China to be independently designed and built by TJU students. It also performed well in both static programs, including on design, cost, and business, and in dynamic programs, such as in straight-line acceleration, figure 8 loop, and high speed obstacle avoidance, as well as endurance and efficiency tests, setting a new record.

Haoyue EV1 was TJU’s first car for Formula Student Electric China. With the combined support of TJU’s Smart Manufacturing Center and the School of Mechanical Engineering, the team completed the design and manufacturing of the electric-drive system and the whole car from scratch. It ranked first among the teams that took part in the race and won the NIO Best Rookie Award.
