The forum has a permanent theme of "Eco-city Creating a Harmonious Future". National leaders are expected to attend the opening ceremony, after which the participants will discuss various areas such as eco-city construction and low-carbon development. There will also be demonstrations of advanced concepts, technology, and products for a low-carbon city/ eco-city both in China and abroad.

The exhibition hall covers a 37,000-sq-m area and is expected to have about 1,000 visitors.
