The Hongqiao Foreign Enterprises Association in collaboration with Shanghai AllBright Law Offices held "The Impact of Domestic and International Compliance Regulatory Trends on the Operations of Foreign Enterprises" seminar on Dec 18.
Guided by the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee, the event aimed to help foreign enterprises understand evolving regulatory landscapes, supporting their development in Shanghai. Over 30 representatives from member units participated in the event.
Representatives from AllBright discussed the new Company Law and changes in corporate governance mechanisms. They focused on governance structure changes, examined the reshaping of governance and key issues following the implementation of the new Company Law, addressed compliance and offered practical advice on the disposal of domestic and overseas debts and assets.
The meeting also featured a roundtable focusing on legal issues related to mergers, layoffs, trade disputes, and restructuring.
The event provided a platform for legal guidance and promoted cooperation between legal services and enterprises, ensuring compliant operations and sustainable development for foreign enterprises in Shanghai. The Hongqiao Foreign Enterprises Association plans to continue organizing similar events to enhance communication and collaboration among its members.
