SIGG, a century-old Swiss sports water bottle brand, has opened its first physical store at the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, also known as Hongqiao Pinhui, in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District. The brand will debut at the upcoming 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE).
SIGG is known for creating customized bottles for the Paris 2024 and has gained attention with the vibrant red color of its bottles, symbolizing energy and sustainability. In Paris, these bottles have become both a fashion statement and an eco-friendly choice, and have been seen accompanying athletes, media personnel, and volunteers. This trend aligns with France's push to reduce single-use plastics and promote carbon neutrality.
SIGG's aluminum bottles, made in Switzerland, combine a classic design with precision engineering. They use 100-percent recyclable aluminum, repurpose all waste, and derive 55 percent of their energy from renewable sources.
SIGG has supported global environmental initiatives since 1908, reducing its carbon footprint through sustainable practices in raw materials, production, and logistics. Their efforts include using aluminum bottles over plastic, opting for sea freight to cut emissions, and designing recyclable booth structures.
