The 2024 Gaming Business Conference, a key event of ChinaJoy, took place on July 24 in the Jiading Area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, also known as North Hongqiao.
In today's digital era, the gaming industry is an important part of the global entertainment market, with many Chinese gaming companies pursuing international expansion. Representatives from various gaming enterprises participated in the event to exchange ideas under the theme of "Broadening Global Perspectives and Exploring New Trends in Gaming Internationalization".
The conference featured a forum on gaming industry internationalization, a forum on global gaming trends, a gaming product and IP exchange meeting, and an IP showcase.
During the event, the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center (North Hongqiao) and the North Hongqiao International Gaming IP Service Center were officially unveiled.
North Hongqiao has focused on fostering the digital economy, life sciences, low-carbon energy, and new automotive forces. Since hosting the Gaming Business Conference in 2020, North Hongqiao has attracted over 150 gaming enterprises. Of these, 15 companies have annual revenues exceeding 1 billion yuan ($138.5 million), and three surpass 5 billion yuan. Additionally, over 10 of these companies have expanded internationally and achieved sales over 1 billion.
