From July 11 to 13, the 2024 China Detection Technology and Semiconductor Applications Conference, along with the Semiconductor Analysis and Detection Instrument and Equipment Development Forum, took place in the Minhang area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD).
The event featured notable attendees, including Academician Zhuang Songlin from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xu Dongmei, vice secretary-general of the China Semiconductor Industry Association, and Li Kanghong, deputy director of the CBD's administrative committee.
Zhuang emphasized the critical role of the semiconductor industry in enhancing national strength and economic development. He called for increased efforts in semiconductor research, innovation, and industry-academia collaboration in order to ensure industry security and advancement.
Li highlighted the CBD's strategic importance and its supportive environment for the semiconductor industry. He noted that the district is building a comprehensive ecosystem for semiconductor development, encompassing research and development, design, production, packaging, testing, sales, and services. The administrative committee aims to enhance policy support, optimize the business environment, and foster international cooperation.
Shen Xiaoliang, deputy general manager of the National Integrated Circuit Innovation Center, encouraged participants to use the event as a platform for collaboration in advancing China's integrated circuit industry.
The conference included keynote speeches, specialized sessions, product exhibitions, and academic poster sessions, focusing on the latest advancements in semiconductor materials, processes, and devices across various industries.
