The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), established in 2011 through a collaboration between the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government, celebrated its 13th anniversary on July 4.

Located in the core of the Yangtze River Delta region, the center is just 1.5 kilometers from the Hongqiao transportation hub, connected via skywalks, underground passages, and Metro Line 2. This hub offers quick access to major cities in the region and key Asia-Pacific economic hubs.

Spanning over 1.5 million square meters, the center is the world's largest exhibition complex, integrating exhibitions, conferences, events, commercial spaces, offices, and hotels. Its main building, designed as a four-leaf clover, incorporates many Chinese elements and is a landmark of Shanghai. In 2020, it received a three-star certification for green building design and operation, making it the largest green building in China.

The National Exhibition and Convention Center plays a crucial role in hosting the China International Import Expo and supports China's international openness policy, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the development of Shanghai as an international exhibition hub.
