Multinational giants delve into biz opportunities at roundtable in Hongqiao Intl CBD

The Roundtable Conference of Multinational Corporation Entrepreneurs · Hongqiao was successfully held on June 20 in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, fostering collaboration and innovation among multinational corporations.

Organized by the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee, the event brought together representatives from over 20 multinational giants like GE Healthcare, DuPont, and Bayer.

The event aimed to explore new business opportunities, discuss preparations for the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE), and deliberate on future development strategies.

Jia Kaijing, director of the investment promotion department of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee, welcomed the multinational representatives, emphasizing Hongqiao's role as a crucial hub connecting Shanghai to the Yangtze River Delta region and the world. Jia also underscored Hongqiao's commitment to fostering an open and conducive business environment for foreign investment.

Xue Feng, director of the Shanghai Foreign Investment Promotion Center, provided insights into Shanghai's foreign investment landscape and its latest supportive policies.

Xie Ming, general manager of Shanghai West Hongqiao Business Development Co Ltd, highlighted investment opportunities within West Hongqiao, underscoring its strategic importance in Shanghai's global connectivity initiatives.

Ying Jian, assistant general manager of the exhibition department of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (venue for the annual CIIE), announced the preparations already in the works for the seventh CIIE, showcasing significant progress in attracting a diverse range of exhibitors and emphasizing the expo's role in facilitating international business exchanges.

During interactive sessions, multinational representatives shared the current status of their respective enterprises, alongside strategic initiatives and insights into future developments. They demonstrated their confidence in Shanghai's potential and their eagerness to invest in Hongqiao.
