As Innovent Bio's global R&D center in Shanghai's Hongqiao International Central Business District nears completion, the company is set to enhance its position in the biopharmaceutical industry. According to Zhao Lei, general manager of Innovent's Shanghai branch, choosing to settle in Hongqiao was strategic. The location offers excellent transportation links, fostering client visits and employee travel. Additionally, Hongqiao's focus on biopharmaceutical R&D headquarters promotes industry synergy and innovation. The district's comprehensive support in project procedures and talent rewards further influenced the decision.

The new R&D center will specialize in global drug research and development, aiming to become a leading hub by integrating scientific research and technological application. Innovent's mission of providing affordable, high-quality biopharmaceuticals is evident in its patient assistance projects, which have benefited over 170,000 patients.
Innovent, with 10 approved products already in the market and several others in development, expects to gain from Hongqiao's policy guidance, enhanced research capabilities, and streamlined regulatory processes. The company aims for further research and market expansion, and will leverage the area's international openness to boost its global presence.
