AKD Group, a pioneer in China's second-hand vehicle industry, cited the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District's complete automotive industrial chain, convenient transportation and bustling consumer clusters as key reasons as to why they invested in the area, according to Zhu Xia, a general assistant manager at AKD.
Zhu highlighted in a recent interview that by establishing a presence in the district's Jiading area, AKD has harnessed its growth potential and amplified its influence within the Yangtze River Delta region.
With China's vehicle ownership exceeding 340 million, policies are evolving to elevate automotive consumption, emphasizing the shift towards upgraded and second-hand purchases. AKD, with 25 years of industry expertise, has not only dominated the market in scale but also garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative service models and consumer-centric approach.
Last year, AKD opened its Shanghai-based flagship, AKD (Shanghai) Luxury Car Plaza, in the CBD. This was a milestone in automotive retail experience, as the plaza offers consumers a seamless car buying process. It ensures unparalleled convenience and efficiency in terms of vehicle selection, purchase, evaluation, and sales processes.
AKD's commitment to quality and service excellence attracted over 300,000 customers in 2023, facilitating the sale of over 20,000 vehicles. The company's emphasis on transparency, fair pricing, and responsive policies, such as trade-in subsidies, have redefined the landscape of China's second-hand car market.
