As part of the 2024 Shanghai Shopping Festival, the Japan Sake Month event, which launches on May 31, is set to offer a month-long celebration of Japanese sake and cuisine.
Presented by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and key Chinese and Japanese partners, the event features a grand opening ceremony as well as the 2024 Japan Sake Summit, scheduled to be held from May 31 to June 1 at the Hongqiao International Central Business District. This collaboration has received strong support from various authoritative bodies in both countries.
With over a thousand Japanese sake brands and food products set to be on display, the event provides a platform for tastings, networking, workshops, and giveaways. Renowned experts will share insights on sake pairing trends and the appeal of Japanese sake from a Chinese perspective.
Registration to attend the 2024 Japan Sake Summit is now open for both professional and general visitors. Attendees can explore a diverse range of new and exclusive sake products from over 100 exhibitors, including award-winning brews and limited editions that are making their debut in China.
Following the launch of Japan Sake Month, a series of themed activities will be organized to take place throughout the month of June, offering unique experiences for patrons at Shanghai's popular Japanese dining spots and bars.
