Chinese home appliance giant Media Group's global innovation park - located in the Qingpu area of Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD), is swiftly nearing completion by the end of 2024.
The Shanghai headquarters of Media Group is a pivotal project that is set to attract high-end research and development talents from across the globe and push technological innovation and industrial advancement to new heights.
The park's development plan includes research and development sectors in nine major fields, such as industrial internet and smart manufacturing, driving innovation in fundamental technologies, artificial intelligence, user research, and smart supply chains.
Featuring a pioneering multi-tube and large-span cable-stayed structure, the park's innovative design showcases high construction quality standards, with a total construction area exceeding 400,000 square meters and an investment of over 7 billion yuan ($96.87 million).
The global innovation park integrates high-end business facilities, research and development offices, forest landscapes, and shared spaces, fostering innovation in energy conservation, environmental protection, new materials, artificial intelligence, and information technology.
Upon completion, the park is set to propel Qingpu into a new era of digital development, contributing to the creation of a hub for science and technology innovation in the Yangtze River Delta region.
