GCL Group, a globally innovative company in green, low-carbon and zero-carbon technologies, has committed to setting up its new global headquarters in Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (Hongqiao Intl CBD) by signing a strategic agreement on Sept 13.
The GCL's "one headquarters, two centers, and two pavilions" complex will feature international digital energy headquarters, a digital energy computing center, energy control center, digital pavilion, and energy display pavilion. This headquarters is intended to promote industrial innovation and urban transformation in the Minhang area of the Shanghai Hongqiao Intl CBD.
Bao Bingzhang, party secretary of Hongqiao Intl CBD, expressed full support for the project. He said that Hongqiao will provide an increasingly open business environment to meet the needs of more companies and talent.
As a hub for strategic emerging industries, Hongqiao Intl CBD is strengthening its position in renewable energy by incentivizing major companies like GCL, JinkoSolar, Trina Solar and Sungrow Power to establish headquarters. The Hongqiao Photovoltaic Industry Alliance, founded in July, unites these industry leaders.

The agreement enables Hongqiao Intl CBD to further enhance its headquarters economy, promote new productivity, and create a hub for private new energy enterprises. By establishing a digital energy industry chain and cultivating a new green ecosystem, Hongqiao will play a pivotal role in accelerating the transition to renewable energy systems and sustainable power infrastructure.
