Marel, a world-leading meat processing company, recently set up its first demonstration center in China at the Hongqiao Central Business District Bonded Logistics Center.

Here, the company is displaying its high-end meat processing devices under a new mode of bonded exhibition and trade, which allows the products to be stored in the customs special supervision area and exhibited outside the area.

The company presently has devices worth 2.5 million euros ($2.75 million) in bonded status under the customs supervision.

The new mode was initiated by the authority of Minhang district, where the logistics center is located, with the aim of upgrading the center's bonded exhibition function to meet the demands of companies.

The district authority has conducted in-depth research and analysis on companies like Aman Resorts, Noah Holdings and Gene Technology. Following in the footsteps of Marel, Aman Resorts has also had two products on bonded exhibition outside the customs special supervision area.

Located less than 5 kilometers away from the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), which is the permanent venue for the China International Import Expo, the Hongqiao bonded logistics center offers professional services for exhibitors attending the CIIE. It is also an essential distribution center for imported goods in the Yangtze River Delta region.
