A delegation headed by Spyros Liontos, economic and commercial consul from the Consulate General of Greece in Shanghai, visited the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center on July 5.
The guests learned about the center's role in helping overseas products enter the Chinese market and its future plan to become a novel platform for international trade.
Hellas Group, a group of major Greek trade companies in China, has established a partnership with the center. During the fifth China International Import Expo, the center offered comprehensive technological support to Shanghai's sister cities in Greece, helping them conduct promotional events through livestreaming.
The delegation expressed hope that Chinese consumers can gain access to more Greek products via the center and learn more about Greek history and culture.

On July 6, Solfrid Dahl Helgesen, deputy consul-general of Norway in Shanghai, and Andreas Thorud, director of the Norwegian Seafood Council China, also visited the center with the aim of strengthening cooperation.
Norwegian brands Isbre and Jodan have been displaying their products at the center.
Next year will mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Norway. The officials expressed hope that NSC China and the center would expand their cooperation to include more fields as a way to help Norwegian companies enter the huge Chinese market.
