Chengxin Group's Hongqiao Medical and Health Co-creation Center in the Qianwan area in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District has gathered a large number of influential companies and held regular forums and salons to advance collaboration in the medical field.
Lu Wenchun, chairman of Chengxin Group, said that the center serves as a platform for entrepreneurs, experts and scholars to exchange ideas and aims to boost business cooperation and communication.
General Manager Chen Zhenhua said the center strives to seek cooperation with market players in the medical and health industry.
"We have attracted more than 13 medical and health companies in such sectors for industrial investment, brain science, high-end medical care and health management. We also hold a regular forum every month to vitalize the medical and health industry," Chen said.
So far, the forum has been held for more than 200 sessions and attracted over 1,500 entrepreneurs. The center has also tightened relations with major business associations, schools and professional institutions in the industry.
Hongqiao Medical Co-Creation Center relies on the Hongqiao International Medical Center and Hongqiao Biomedical Headquarters Park in Qianwan. It combines information, capital and business platforms and promotes high-quality industrial integration. For example, some enterprises in the center have maintained close relationships with the medical center for industrial development, academic exchanges and policies.
In recent years, Hongqiao has gradually formed an innovation cluster and a large number of scientific and technological innovation enterprises in surrounding provinces have gathered to empower scientific and technological innovation.
Statistics show that there are 14,665 research and development enterprises in the Hongqiao International Central Business District, which account for 17.5 percent of the total number of enterprises in the city and is 3.4 times more than the city's average.
