The 3rd Yangtze River Delta Urban Sculpture and Street Furniture Public Art Creative Design Competition was launched in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on Jan 5.
Domestic and overseas companies, institutions, academies, design teams, designers, artists, craftspeople and art students are encouraged to participate in the competition either as individuals or as groups.
With the theme of "strength of sculpture, warmth of city", the competition requires participants to create works that center on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region and the national strategy of building the Hongqiao International Opening-up Hub.
The works must be submitted to csjldpt@126.com before March 10 in forms of videos, PPTs or PDFs that consist of a creative concept, theme, explanation and at least five renderings.
A panel of experts will evaluate the works and the results will then be published on the official website of the competition (http://www.shtecul.cn/Competition/index.html).
