Francesco Lorenzetto, vice-president of Exyte Shanghai Co Northeast Asia, was recently granted the 2022 Shanghai Magnolia Silver Award.
While living and working in Shanghai for nearly a decade, Lorenzetto has been proactively participating in the economic and social development of Changning district and Shanghai.
With his efforts, Exyte Group increased its registered capital in China to 109.2 million yuan ($15.63) in 2018, and during the 2018-20 period, Exyte Shanghai contributed more than 1 billion yuan to the city in taxes.
The company has also participated in a number of integrated circuit projects across Shanghai, including those in Zhangjiang, Lingang, Songjiang and Caohejing.
As a "new Shanghainese", Lorenzetto has also been committed to local charity projects.
For years, he and his company have donated to the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation to assist children from impoverished families to receive liver transplantation surgeries.
He has also been pushing forward a female leadership project and young professionals' development project, which have not only laid a good foundation for the company's sustainable development, but also set a good example for employers in the industry.
He became a member of the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance in 2022, and was appointed as the Chief Experience Officer of the Greater Hongqiao Area in 2021.
