Flon Holdings Group will set up its China headquarters in the Jiading section of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD), local media outlets recently reported.

Representing an investment of 400 million yuan ($57.36 million), the 24-mu (1.6-hectare) headquarters will include departments for research and development, testing, trade, exhibition, and settlement. The headquarters will help the group expand its business portfolio from the current dye and plastic additives to include chips, special-purpose resins, automatic environmental protection equipment and high-end manufacturing.
Authorities in Jiangqiao town, where the headquarters is located, formed a special team in July that has spent about five months preparing the land for construction of the project.
The Jiangqiao government has been striving to improve its business environment for investors by sending staff to local companies to aid production and operations.
